It was originally scheduled to take place on 15th of November 2009 but was changed to take place 14 days earlier than planned. Taking place on the Yas Marina Circuit, the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race occurred on the 1st of November 2009 which is Formula One’s first day-night race event. Yas Marina Circuit

2010 and 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Following the good results of the 2009 Grand Prix, the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix occurred on November 12-14 at the Yas Marina Circuit. Sebastian Vettel achieved his 2nd victory on the track and later on secured the title World Champion at the same time. The 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix happened on November 13 with Lewis Hamilton in winning the third season.
