Smooth SUP has a really nice line of paddleboards that actually are definitely good quality SUPs. They will be obviously well built, they appear nice, plus they so far have a great track record going. They offer a couple of different “kinds” of boards, the Chino, Bomber, and Meli’a, which are all basically exactly the same shape simply a different appearance. I cannot tell you definitely why they call the same board three different names, they just do. As far as I can see, the only distinction is the color. Smooth SUP also has a glider for smooth water and touring. This is not the board you need to buy if you plan on surfing.

If you are new to surfing and need to gather your equipment together, it pays to look on-line. Walking into a high street shop can be bewildering at first, but browsing on the web for surf clothing gives you a head start before talking with an experienced surfer. Separate your clothing and accessories into needed and desired before a shop clerk tries to sell you some gear.

There are three basic categories. Look through mens, womens and/or childrens lists. They differ only slightly, mostly in terms of fashion and cut. If you think a section for youth makes little sense, young kids surf too while their younger siblings also look good in similar apparel.
